PRP can also be used to support skin rejuvenation by harnessing the regenerative potential of your own platelet-rich plasma. It can be used to help improve overall skin quality, firmness, fine lines and areas of crepey or ageing skin. PRP may also be combined with microneedling and, where clinically appropriate, carefully selected sterile professional skin solutions such as hyaluronic-acid-based formulations.

What to expect
- A face-to-face consultation and full medical history assessment to determine suitability and create a treatment plan tailored specifically to you
- A small sample of blood is taken and carefully processed to separate the platelet-rich plasma
- The plasma is introduced into the skin and may be combined with microneedling and, where clinically appropriate, carefully selected sterile professional skin solutions such as hyaluronic-acid-based formulations

Downtime
Most people return to normal activity straight away. Mild redness, tenderness or swelling is common and usually settles within a day or two.
How long results last
Improvements in skin quality develop gradually as collagen support builds over the course of treatment. Depending on your individual needs, a course of treatments may be recommended, followed by maintenance sessions where appropriate.
