What it is
A non-surgical lifting treatment using fine polydioxanone (PDO) threads placed beneath the skin. The threads provide immediate support and stimulate the body's own collagen response over the following weeks, before dissolving naturally.

What to expect
- A detailed consultation, assessment of skin laxity and medical history check
- Local anaesthetic is used for comfort at the entry points
- Threads are placed along a planned vector; the appointment usually takes 45-90 minutes
- A follow-up review is arranged
Downtime
Expect tightness, mild swelling, bruising and tenderness for up to two weeks. Some puckering can occur early on and usually settles.
How long results last
Lifting effects are visible immediately and continue to improve as collagen forms. Results typically last 9-18 months depending on thread type, skin quality and lifestyle.
Aftercare
- Sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated for a week
- Avoid wide mouth movements, dental work and facial massage for two weeks
- Avoid exercise, saunas and swimming for two weeks
- Keep entry points clean and follow the written aftercare provided
