What it is
A controlled skin resurfacing treatment using a professional-grade acid solution to encourage the outer layers of skin to shed and renew. Peels are selected and layered according to your skin type, concern and tolerance.

- Adults aged 18 and over with dull, congested or uneven skin
- Clients concerned with pigmentation, early fine lines or blemish-prone skin
- People able to follow pre-treatment and aftercare guidance, including sun protection
What to expect
- Skin consultation, patch testing where indicated and a medical history check
- Cleansing, application of the peel solution and close monitoring throughout
- Tingling or warmth during application is normal; treatment takes around 30 minutes
- A course is often recommended rather than a single session
Downtime
Redness for a few hours to a few days, with flaking or peeling typically from day 2 to day 5 depending on the strength used.
How long results last
Brightness is often seen after one treatment. Longer-lasting improvement in texture and pigmentation usually follows a course of 3-6 peels, maintained with good home care.
Aftercare
- Use SPF 50 daily and avoid direct sun exposure
- Do not pick or pull at flaking skin
- Pause retinoids, acids and exfoliation until advised
- Keep the skin well moisturised with the products recommended to you
