What it is
A wrinkle relaxing treatment using small injections that temporarily reduce the movement of specific facial muscles. Softening that movement allows the lines created by repeated expression to settle, giving a smoother, more rested appearance while keeping natural expression.

- People who want a subtle, natural softening rather than a frozen look

What to expect
- A face-to-face consultation, facial assessment and medical history check
- Discussion of realistic outcomes, risks and possible side effects
- The area is cleansed and a series of very fine injections is given, usually taking 10-15 minutes
- A review appointment is offered around two weeks later
Downtime
Most people return to normal activity straight away. Small raised bumps settle within an hour, and mild redness, tenderness or bruising can occur for a few days.
How long results last
Results usually begin to show from 3-5 days, with the full effect at around two weeks. Most clients find results last approximately 3-4 months, though this varies from person to person.
Aftercare
- Stay upright for 4 hours and avoid rubbing or massaging the area
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid facials or other facial treatments for two weeks
